Our first-ever Kaleidoscope Gala

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for attending the first-ever Kaleidoscope Gala in support of the EB Community. Your presence at our event meant the world to us and we think you’ll agree that the evening was a huge success!

We wish to extend a special thanks to our speakers; Elena, Maya, and Lucy. All three ladies were an absolute pleasure to listen to.

Our artists; Emily, Novelette, Chris, Deanna, Ed, Tessa, Matt, and Mary showcased such talent and added so much beauty to the evening. Emcee Liz Trinnear hosted the night effortlessly, and the event wouldn’t have run nearly as smoothly without her.

Incredible music from the St. Royals and the amazing staff at Palais Royal brought the whole evening together!

Thank you

Together we are raising awareness, inspiring the next generation of Butterfly Children and creating a community where individuals with EB can connect and find support. We are making history. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. If you missed the Gala, here are some of the highlights.

From Maya’s speech

EB is not a limitation, it’s just part of me. It’s a little thing that’s part of who I am as a whole. That being said, as much as it doesn’t define me, I wouldn’t be where I am or who I am without EB.

We used knee pads to protect the skin on my knees. I started wearing them when I was around six months old and learning to crawl, and I continued to wear them growing up in school.
