EB Hacks-Hospital Card
May 21, 2021

Hey guys, it’s Emily here from MiaThrives!

The MiaThrives Team is looking forward to sharing another Free downloadable PDF Resource for the EB Community. The Hospital Card is a smart PDF that can be edited to your individual needs and printed and cut down into 4 cards per sheet. We hope this is something you can keep handy if you ever find yourself in a situation with a new nurse or doctor that needs some quick information about your EB care.

You can watch the video here or down below.

Last Minute Hospital Trips

I recently found myself in the emergency room after a fall, since it happened quickly I also didn’t have a support person with me. My mind was in a million places and I forgot to get into the details with the nurses about my EB. In the end, I left the hospital with extra blisters and wounds from getting my blood pressure done and tests.

That is where the idea for the Hospital Card was born! Some quick facts can quickly be passed over to a nurse or doctor when there might not be time to go through an entire file.

We used knee pads to protect the skin on my knees. I started wearing them when I was around six months old and learning to crawl, and I continued to wear them growing up in school.
