Maya’s Story

My name is Maya Spencer-Berkeley and I have recessive dystrophic EB. I am a model and a social media influencer as well as an advocate for body positivity.

Body positivity

Once I realized that I could use modelling as a way to raise awareness for EB and also for body positivity and just helping other people then I wanted to do modelling a lot more. A young girl, for her to see me doing what I do if that’s going to make her life growing up, teenage years and stuff, easier then that’s what I want to do. I have learned to live alongside my EB rather than against it.

I am Maya and I am thriving with EB.
