EB Hacks- DIY Bath Bombs
Jan 22, 2021

Hey Guys, it’s Emily here from MiaThrives!

After a little break, I am excited to be back with weekly EB Hack videos offering tips and tricks to living your life to the fullest with Epidermolysis Bullosa. Today’s hack will take you step by step through making an easy four-ingredient Bath bomb. You can customize the ingredients to suit your skincare needs. For example, add Frankenses that has wound healing properties, click here for more info.

You can watch the full video here (or down below).

What you need:

  • Mold, I picked one up at Micheals but they can also be found on Amazon, click here for an example
  • Baking Soda 1.5 cups
  • Citric Acid 1 cup
  • Coconut oil 1\2 cup
  • 20 drops essential oil of your choice (In the video I choose CBD oil, lavender, and sandalwood.)

Step by Step:

Start by mixing the two dry ingredients in a bowl. If the coconut oil is not liquid you will need to heat it up in the microwave to make it easier to mix. Then you can add your oils and give it a good mix.

Once all the ingredients are mixed well you can start scooping into your mold using a spoon, push down and fill well to the top. Add the two pieces of the mold together and I like to use an elastic to ensure it stays closed.

You can then put it in the fridge for 30 mins to set or keep it in the mold for around 24 hours. Twist to open and then enjoy!

We would love to hear from you if this is something you’ve tried and it works for you! Also, feel free to let us know if you have any other EB Hacks!

We used knee pads to protect the skin on my knees. I started wearing them when I was around six months old and learning to crawl, and I continued to wear them growing up in school.
