DIY Butterfly Stamp
Jan 17, 2020

Hey, it’s Emily and Mia here!

Today we are going to show you how to make an easy butterfly stamp using items you probably already have around your home or can pick up from the dollar store. This craft from beginning to end only takes only 10 minutes!

You can watch the full tutorial video with instructions here (or down below).

Why a butterfly stamp?

We chose the butterfly shape because children with EB are called Butterfly Children! This is because their skin is as fragile as a butterfly’s wings. If you are new here check out Mia’s story.

What you will need:

  • Sponge
  • Rubber elastic
  • Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Paper
  • Black pen or marker

Please follow along and share photos of your creations, don’t forget to tag @miathrives and #KaleidoscopeKids.

We used knee pads to protect the skin on my knees. I started wearing them when I was around six months old and learning to crawl, and I continued to wear them growing up in school.
